Our kitchen is full of Asian food. Eastern food meets western home.

今天去买了一个吃韩国烤肉的石头烤盘，一罐蘸料，麦茶和一些杂货。
啊，忘了买泡菜。

Celebrating Todd and Josh's birthdays

Ralph said, "Hey! Stop eating and look at here! I am taking photos."

Todd & Dolly's family really loved Korean BBQ.

Todd said, "Oh, God! my fingers are so tired from using chopsticks!". He's chopstick-impaired, so he gets a handicap parking spot at the restaurant.

Birthday boy's big smile..."Yay! I am 20! I can't believe dad let me survive this long."

Todd blew out the candles ...and then rested for 5 minutes because he was out of breath. It's tough getting old and out of shape.

Tonight we had a nice 4 hour dinner with a happy couple, my Japanese friend Ayami and her husband Duke.

Momo's

Of course, we ate at Momo's tonight. It's the best Japanese restaurant in town. Ralph's favorite sushi is the Arizona roll and Candy loves the Las Vegas roll (it's the dish with spicy orange crab on top in this photo).

昨天才知道原来这些卡片都是Ralph妈妈亲手制作的，有感谢卡、生日卡、安慰卡及耶诞卡，每张卡片都设计的很别致哦。

Lovely cards from an artistic mother. They are nice to give and to receive. Plus, they are all unique in design for a special addition to any gift.

Green onion in kitchen

每次从超市买回一把葱只用了一点，剩下的几乎都在冰箱里烂掉，觉得很浪费，决定自己在厨房种上一些葱。方法是：买回来的葱，切下根部（稍留长一点），直接种在盆栽里，浇些水它便会开始长，要用时再剪下一段，它会继续长出来，真的很方便。This is Candy's scallion garden. Why buy more when you can just keep growing them?

Happy Valentine's day

This is our first Valentine's day. We didn't go out. Instead, we enjoyed a peaceful quiet happy moment at home.

The outlets at Castle Rock

这个outlet可要比北加州Vacaville那个大多了。自从Ralph给了我信用卡后，每次血拼都超爽的，不过我还是喜欢和他一起逛街，他不但有耐心看我试穿，还会在旁边帮忙挑选衣服提供意见，而且会愈买愈多，他会说既然好看就每种颜色各买一件，哈，我笑说，跟他逛街就像是和女性友人去逛街一样，舒服又自在。逛了一下午，到了６点肚子实在很饿，决定先去饱餐一顿。这个男人太可爱了，离开时还说，下次早点来可以花一整天的时间在这里逛。今天的成绩很可观，才走了几家店，他买了７件衣服６双袜子，我买了一套正式的套装９件上衣１件裤子和一个包包，外加一套餐具。其实３天前他到丹佛出差，自己才买了５件衣服２条吊带，昨天出门也帮我买了２件上衣，有个爱漂亮的男朋友真不错耶。

Late Xmas Gifts

Finally we got together with Todd & Dolly's family last weekend and they brought us the late gifts.
Candy got a gift card from Ralph's mom, Jennifer and a bath set from Todd & Dolly. All of others were given to Ralph.

Mardi Gras Casino Night

来分享一下昨晚有趣的活动；这个城市健康中心办的募款餐会，地点在convention center的宴会厅，整个活动设计以mask和casino为主题，从邀请函、竞标牌、会场的布置都没离开过这两大主题，party从下午5点开始，第一个小时是社交时间，在门口报到后，领了每人$500的筹码和美美的竞标牌挂在脖子，会场外走廊设有酒吧供应啤酒葡萄酒和各式调酒，盛装的每个人捧着酒杯绕着会场边摊位上的拍卖品，我们逛了一圈后决定了几个标，Ralph当仁不让的填上投标金额。由于主办单位的关系，来宾都是医药界，多半是有钱的医生们，不少Ralph认识的医生客户过来寒暄，当然我的面具也得到许多赞美。晚宴正式开始，主持人在台上介绍节目流程，大家都坐定用餐 （我发现这种募款餐会的餐食都很美味，我想，吃的如果太差就幕不到钱了，哈），主菜用完Ralph离座去询问那个大蛋糕 （一片蛋糕$5，吃到里面有trinket的人可以参加抹彩，有机会得到特别奖成为今晚的King或Queen），没想到king cake早已义卖完，我们俩只好眼巴巴喝着咖啡看别人吃蛋糕，接着是娱乐节目，同桌的每个人都鼓励我参加面具竞赛，参赛者实在太多了，我决定不参与，把票投给同桌的一位女士。舞会的音乐响起，不过多数人都走到会场另一头的casino，原来有这样的公司提供整套casino服务，约有10几张blackjack 赌桌，2张赌轮盘台子，2张craps tables等等，就算赢的钱不能带走，大家也都玩得不亦乐乎，我们俩发挥赌性赢了$3000多呐。

主办单位在每桌布置了五颜六色的气球外，还贴心的准备有面具和珠子项链，提供给脸上没装扮的人。
我们共投标7项义卖品，最后标到4项，$25的木制装饰品 （Ralph认识这个艺术家，所以标这个义卖品），$50的4人份意大利餐券，$50的6张某剧场的戏票，$40的耳环 （第一次Ralph写$25，因为我说喜欢，他在拍卖结束前又去巡了一次，确定他能得标买给我，感动呐！）。有几项较大的义卖品流标，大概没人对度假的condo有兴趣吧。

Event on this weekend

自从跟这个男人在一起，我在美国的社交生活开始丰富，除了每周例行的娱乐（看电影，享受美食），还穿插各式各样的party及音乐会，这二周着重于政治活动，明晚我们要到隔壁城市Canon City参加另一个共和党的晚餐会。Ralph一直有从政的抱负，这是为什么我们积极参与地方的政治活动，他希望有机会能得到支持，获得共和党的提名。

Politics

Ralph非常热衷政治，他参加的这个俱乐部是共和党在这个镇上唯一的组织，也可以说是这个城市的共和党“庄脚”，他们固定每个月第一和第三个周五午餐聚会，每次邀请不同的演讲者，演讲的议题不限于谈政治，多半是有关这个社区的发展和经济建设，上周末是新年度俱乐部主席交接晚餐聚会，整个俱乐部成员都是白人，我是唯一的例外参加者，我男人获选下年度的主席，看来我们有得忙了。
