科罗拉多的天气真怪，这一星期内度过了冬天和夏天，下了几天雪后，得个出太阳的星期天，我们跳上跑车，驾出夏日轻松休闲的节奏，在附近兜了一大圈，原来小镇边上有个水库，南北边各设有码头，玩家们把爱船游艇泊在这里，天气一热便整军出发，许多RV也在湖边露营，欣赏着天边白雪山头和湖上翩翩行舟。

Movie: The Merchant of Venice

今天下午我们又去了最爱的那家戏院---Kimball's Twin Peak Theatre，在Colorado Springs市中心，看的电影是威尼斯商人，是莎士比亚的喜剧中最富悲剧性的一部，艾尔帕西诺在电影中诠释那个悲剧灵魂人物--Shylock，透过他丰富的演技和过熟的内心戏的确把这个角色发挥的淋漓尽致，其中一段在街头的自白，将犹太人那股被压迫的怨恨奋力宣泄到极点。很值得一看的电影，演员服装造型及拍摄场景都很有看头，尤其我去过威尼斯3次，在电影中找回忆，不过对白中有很多古典英文，对我来说非常艰深，就连Ralph也说有些他也听不懂，当然他还是很有耐心一边看一边小声为我解说。

建议有兴趣的人不妨先读Roger Ebert的影评，对这部电影会更有体会。

Go Las Vegas!!

Ralph is going to be 45 years old next month --- April 6. At first, I really planned to hold a party and give him a birthday surprise but finally gave up this idea for several reasons. Then I wracked my brain to figure out what Ralph wants to do for his birthday. I posted a message on a woman club website to ask help and someone suggested a vacation package as nice birthday gift. When I was about to tell this idea to Ralph, he told me the same idea at the same time. What a coincidence! Go Las Vegas....Let's go Las Vegas to celebrate your 45!

The next day I booked the hotel and show tickets. We will sleep in 5 star hotel, the Venetian and sit at the best seats enjoying the show Ka. We might drive his red baby (a BMW Z4) out there. Our trip is scheduled at the first week in May because fortune teller said those days will be our lucky days. ..... Candy

President and Chairman

Since Ralph has become the president-elect of the local Pachyderm club, he has become more active and is trying to develop the club. Two weeks ago he attended another republican event. He became the chairman of that group after a 2 hour meeting. I think people can easily see Ralph’s talent and leadership when he interacts with others. Now he has important duties in 2 political groups. ...... Candy

I got a chance to travel with Ralph to Alamosa. It's so beautiful when I looked out the window in the car. I decided to record the views of southern Colorado. （所有照片都是在车上拍的，车速很快所以有点模糊）

Do you have this experience?

Last night we went to see the movie “Finding Neverland” in Alamosa.

There were only two of us in the theatre. I felt like that we were VIPs and this show was just reserved for us. So, we had the best seats and enjoyed the privacy. Ralph even talked on a phone with his brother during the show. What a nice movie and wonderful night! ..... Candy

P.S. Last time, Ralph saw a horrible movie with terrible popcorns here. But this time turned out to be a good experience with me.

这是Ralph最喜欢的节目，最喜欢的主持人，最喜欢的时事话题，每天晚上（除了周末）我们家必看的节目，6点到7点，然后9点重播一次。其实我也蛮喜欢这个主持人，虽然他个人政治色彩很浓厚，但大多时候访谈的论点都很客观公平，也不乏幽默风趣的谈话。比起旧金山湾区26台话越地平线那个史东可好得太多了。
